“One health”, a transdisciplinary approach
For this grant programme, research projects must be part of a “One health” approach. This concept promotes an integrated, systemic approach to human, animal and ecosystem health at local, national and global levels. This allows us to acquire a better understanding of the evolution of our societies and of global environmental changes. It thus makes it possible to orient public policies in terms of prevention or innovation in health, in diversified economic and socio-cultural contexts. In particular, it aims to take a global view of health issues, environmental management and pressures on biodiversity in order to better prevent and respond to emerging diseases with pandemic risks.
In multilateral diplomatic discussions, France is positioning itself as a leading player in addressing the issues raised by the scientific theme “One Health”.
